This route takes you around the north part of the Wadden Island of Texel, popular for its beaches, nature reserves and rich coastal wildlife. Highlights of the route are Dunes of Texel National Park and the Wadden Sea, which was made a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site in 2009.

Here you cycle along the dyke to Eierland lighthouse on the northern tip of the island. On your way you pass through the picturesque village of Oosterend and the nature areas Zandkes, Utopia, De Schorren and Robbenjager. You cycle through of Dunes of Texel National Park, passing the unique nature reserve of De Slufter, back to De Koog.
