Only a 15-minute ride from Gouda! The lakes are the result of the way the Dutch shaped the land. By extracting peat from the land the industry was supplied with fuel. This is what made the land start to set and create the inner lakes. Many of these lakes were made dry by pumping the water out. But in this area things turned out differently.
Now you will now find a breath-taking natural reserve with a rich diversity of waterfowl. Crossing tiny drawing bridges and quiet pathways it's a breathtaking experience. Bring your swimming gear if you're interested:) This tour ends at the market square in the centre of Gouda where we will show you the main highlights of this lovely old town.
