Amsterdam is also called, by some, the smallest metropolis of Europe. There are many unique museums, enticing shopping and, recently added to the UNESCO Cultural World Heritage list, the canals in the heart of Amsterdam certainly make a visit to Amsterdam a highlight.
Visit the famous flower market in the centre of the capital and discover the Zaanse Schans open air museum including windmills, a traditional cheese maker, a clog maker and an authentic traditional Dutch village.
Other highlights of this trip are the historic city of Haarlem, the world famous flower park Keukenhof, near Lisse and the largest flower auction in the world in Aalsmeer*.
* The Aalsmeer flower auction is closed during weekends and on public holidays. This is an optional visit.
The comfortable river cruiser MS Fluvius has been a popular choice for guests for a number of years now on the Amsterdam to Bruges cycle tour. On board this cozy ship, which caters for a maximum of 44 guests, are a total of 18 twin and 4 double bed cabins.
The lower deck has 14 twin cabins (approx. 10 M² = 108 sq.) and one smaller twin cabin (approx. 9 M² = 97 sq.) and on the upper deck there are 3 twin cabins (approx. 10 M² = 108 sq.). In winter 2017-2018, 4 additional upper deck double cabins (approx. 12 M² = 129 sq.) with a large panoramic window (ceiling to floor) that can be opened will be created. All twin cabins have 2 low separate single beds, the 4 new cabins have a 140×200 cm double bed. All cabins have an air-conditioning unit that is individually adjustable, a ventilation system and a window (windows in twin cabins are fixed) and en-suite bathroom with shower/toilet and hairdryer.
The salon with bar is a large room for common use and has a semi-separate restaurant area. On the large sun deck of the 70 meter-long ship are sitting places (tables and chairs) and storage room for the bikes. The ship sails under the Dutch flag and management.
The Mecklenburg is a comfortable ship with a personal, familiar atmosphere and during this trip your floating hotel!
